Your Wedding Celebrant
A professional wedding celebrant can be of enormous help in advising on practical, legal and creative requirements for your wedding.
A well-designed wedding ceremony has a clear structure – it flows smoothly, most importantly it is all about you.
My aim is to provide you with a ceremony that is how you would like it to be, while ensuring the whole experience is friendly and relaxed, so that you can have fun and fully enjoy your wedding day.
It’s your day and be it in your backyard, at a function centre, on the beach, the Rose garden, or anywhere else; as formal or informal as you choose, I will be privileged and honoured to be your wedding celebrant.
Your wedding is a public declaration of your deep and personal commitment to each other. It is a celebration of your love, a significant signpost in your relationship, and a day to remember and treasure for the rest of your lives.
Your marriage is also a legal commitment – one that is recognised worldwide. you will need to apply for a Marriage Licence
Initially, I suggest we meet over a coffee so we can get to know each other and chat about what you might like to have happen during the different parts of your wedding ceremony.
If you are living overseas, or outside of the Manawatu, we can have our “meetings” via Skype and e-mails. This is a great opportunity for you to see how we click. It’s important you both feel comfortable and confident with me as your wedding celebrant.
We will discuss the basic format of the service, ascertain whether you would like to use your own scripting or whether you wish to have me provide a template for you to work with.
Where you propose to hold your wedding ceremony and the date and time frame. During this time I will ask your:
• Music preferences
• Whether there is to be religious / spiritual content
• Poetry and/or Reading preferences
Yes, there are a million and one things to organise but, with careful and timely planning, it doesn’t have to be a hassle. We have a blank page to start with; and its not where we start – but were we finish that counts
Once I have written your ceremony, you will have the opportunity to edit it so that it feels like you and you get the ceremony exactly as you both want it.
Or you can have all of the ceremony as a surprise that unfolds on the day.
Each ceremony is individually written for each couple and will be totally unique.
